The East Amwell Education Foundation is an organization whose mission is to strengthen, foster and support the expansion of educational opportunities for East Amwell community residents. Founded in 1997, we are an independent, tax-exempt organization - we are not affiliated with the School System or the Township Governing body. We promote education through various programs that include presentations, seminars, trips and grants. Our programs cover Science & Technology, Culture, Fine & Performing Arts, and Language Research. To date, the foundation has awarded more than $60,000 in grants. We obtain our funding through member contributions and various fund raising events.

For several years the Foundation sponsored archeological digs where East Amwell students uncovered buried artifacts at some of the township's historic sites. We also sponsored guided bus tours of some of the these sites. In addition, we sponsor the "Read Across America" program at the school, and funding for storytellers for students in pre-K to 3rd grade.

We have also presented seminars in computer training, the arts, and other subjects. In partnership with other organizations, such as the Hunterdon Cultural and Heritage Commission, the Foundation has provided lectures on various historic and cultural topics. We have also sponsored tours to various historic and cultural destinations including Gettysburg, Annapolis, Philadelphia, West Point, and Broadway shows.

The East Amwell Education Foundation membership is open to anyone interested in advancing our cause - residents and non-residents alike.
